北京：歷史和記述

1897年出版的法文著作《Peking:Histoire et Description》（北京：歷史和記述），為當時天主教北京教區法籍主教樊國梁（Alphonse Favier）所著。樊國粱通過自己的視角對中國尤其是北京進行了百科書式的介紹。而且作者自身西方教育背景以及神學、哲學等學術背景，因此其對中國歷史、文化、生活的內容都有獨特理解。

The Chinese opium-smoker

18世紀-19世紀西方列強曾把鴉片毒品作為侵略中國的工具和手段。那時滿清政府還處於閉關自守的狀況，而當時西方資本主義國家正處於上升發展的時期。這本1880年倫敦出版的《The Chinese opium-smoker》用12幅插畫和文字講述了18世紀以來鴉片進入中國後在中國的泛濫狀況。

The costume of China

這是1800年倫敦出版George Henry Mason 編著的《The costume of China / 中國服飾》有60幅非常精美的彩色插圖。插圖採用了西式透視、明暗、投影等技法，寫實特徵濃厚，又融入中國的白描手法，自有一種獨特的東方趣味。描繪的主題是清代中國社會各種行業人物以和他們的服裝及妝飾。

Picturesque representations of the dress and manners of the Chinese

1793年年輕英國畫家William Alexander作為馬戛爾尼使團隨團畫家到達中國，在從澳門到北京往返旅行中，創作了大量反映當時中國風俗的畫作。他的這本《中國衣冠風俗圖解》內含50幅彩色版畫於1814年在倫敦出版。

The Costume of China

1793年大英帝國派往大清帝國的馬戛爾尼使團到達中國。年輕的英國畫家威廉·亞歷山大(William Alexander)作為使團隨團畫家，在從澳門到北京的往返旅行中，創作了大量反映當時中國世態風情的畫作，隨後在英國及歐洲風靡一時。這本威廉·亞歷山大的《The Costume of China / 中國服飾》內含48幅彩色版畫，於1805年在倫敦出版。

中國酷刑

這是1804年倫敦出版，George Henry Mason 編著的《The punishments of China / 中國酷刑》一書內部的22幅插圖。插圖所描繪的是清代中國兩廣地區﹙廣東、廣西﹚部堂的刑罰概況，每張插圖以英文和法文註解。據記載這些繪畫的作者是一個稱作Pu Qua的中國人。

清俗紀聞

《清俗紀聞》是中川忠英輯，日本寬正17年(1799)刊印的記述清朝乾隆時代中國福建、浙江、江蘇一帶民間風俗、傳統習慣、社會習尚等的一本調查紀錄。全書分為年中行事、居家、冠服、飲食製法、閭學、生誕、冠禮、婚禮、賓客、羈旅行李、喪禮、祭禮、僧徒十三卷。

園林風尚設計薈萃

Le Rouge.Georges Louis（法蘭西皇家地理學家）的《Détails des nouveaux jardins à la mode》園林銅版畫集是對十八世紀世界園林流行的平面圖、照片、建築立面圖的收集。後來這些風格成為歐洲上層貴族新文化風尚。此本大約出版於1776-1778年，法國巴黎。

中國建築、家俱、服飾、機械和器皿之設計

18世紀William Chambers爵士主張要提高英國造園家修養，發展英國自然風景園，大力學習中國。他曾在瑞典東印度公司任職。他出訪中國期間，曾對中國建築、家俱、服飾等等作了許多速寫。在1757年出版了這本《Design of Chinese Buildings, Furniture, Dresses, Machines and Utensils》。
